Irene D. Monday, age 72 of Marianna passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Monday was born on May 4, 1938 in Miller County, Georgia to the late Owen Jefferson Day and Annie Mozelle Roach. She moved to Marianna in 1969 coming from Quincy and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Monday enjoyed traveling, listening to music, cooking and dancing. She truly loved her family and friends dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack R. Monday, her son; Kenneth Timothy Monday, sister; Audrey Wade, brother; Buddy Day, and brother-in-law, Monroe “Bo” Monday. Mrs. Monday is survived by one son; Christopher Owen Monday (Elizabeth) of Marianna, five daughters; Sharon E. Dykes (Darrell) of Dellwood, Phyllis Rutherford (Dell) of Quincy, Deborah M.
