Irene M. Lazar, 98 passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 Groundhog Day in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Lazar was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Tallmadge. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cedric and Adella Sitosky; husband, John; son, John; 6 sisters; and 7 brothers. She is survived by her children, Joyce (John) Nieschwitz; Ron (Kathy) Lazar and Marlene (John) Petroff; daughter-in-law, Helen Lazar; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
