Irene Louise DuFour, 95, of Elkhart, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Hubbard Hills Estates in Elkhart.
She was born March 18, 1916, in Elgin, Ore., to Clarence R. and Mary (Dow) Hahn, who preceded her in death along with two husbands, I.L. “Abe” Lindley and Douglas W. DuFour, son Larry Johnson, stepson Larry DuFour, sister Virginia Johnson, sister-in-law Marie Hahn and son-in-law Phil Kauble.
Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie (David) Shanholt of Elkhart; stepson Timothy DuFour of Illinois; two stepdaughters Sharon (George) Moser of Seabring, Fla., and Carolyn Kauble of Kokomo; and a brother, Ed Hahn of Elkhart. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
