Beloved wife of Stan States for over 54 years, mother of Pamela Byers (Alan) of Knoxville, TN, lost her battle with cancer August 22, 2010. She was preceded in death by son Jeffrey in 2006. She is survived by her husband, Stan; daughter, Pamela (Alan); 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 1 sister of Glen Burnie, MD. Irene was a Life Master at bridge and directed the Ken Caryl Duplicate Bridge Club for many years. She leaves a terrible void in the family.
