Irene Isabelle (Knight) Whitlock, 93, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on January 4, 2021 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. She was born December 28, 1927 in Morgan County, Indiana to the late Reverend Paul Samuel Knight and Ollie Lela “Whitaker” Knight. Irene was married to her husband, Robert Lee “Bobby” Whitlock, for 62 years. They were married on May 31, 1947 in Martinsville, Indiana.
Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother working hard through the years for her family. Irene worked several years at Ft. Harrison.
Irene is survived by her children Dianne (Steve) Jones of Plainfield, Indiana, Rev. Ronald L. Whitlock (Eunice) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Barbara (Darrel) Anderson of Olathe, Kansas; sisters Julia Ruth “Knight” Jester, Iris Carol (Art) Hadley, and Marjorie Joyce “Knight” Ballinger; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her husband Robert L. Whitlock; parents Paul & Lela Knight; brothers Arthur Wendell (Cecile) Knight, Harry Allen (Norma) Knight and James Leon Knight; sisters Crystal Hope “Knight” (George) Earlywine and Lela Pauline Knight.
