Irene A. Gibson (nee Donovan), 90, of Toms River, NJ, died on Thursday, October 12, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she lived in Menlo Park Terrace, NJ, before moving to Toms River in 1976. Irene was a graduate of Baton High School. She was an avid reader, dog lover and devoted to her family.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas Joseph, and her grandson George Ellis. Surviving are her sons Thomas of Toms River, Joseph of Alpharetta, Ga. and John of Toms River; two daughters Joann Jedrusiak of Toms River and Mary Ellis of Pittstown, NJ; a brother Tom Donovan; grandchildren Jill and Bryan Jedrusiak, Jacqueline Avila, Christopher Ellis, Jessica Wise, Joseph, Matthew, John Thomas, Gabrielle and Stephen Gibson; and 8 great grandchildren–Bennett and Owen Avila, Emily and Erik Jensen, Logan and Addison Wise, Alyssa Jedrusiak, and Rowan Gibson.
