Irene E. Haley, 96, currently of East Ridge in Cutler Bay, Florida, passed away March 11, 2021 to join our Lord in heaven. She peacefully died in her sleep.
Mom is survived by her sister, Dotty Currie (East Hampton, Ct); and her four sons: Michael (Palmetto Bay, FL); Paul (Coon Valley, Wi); James (Port St Lucie, FL); and Stephen (Hialeah, FL). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great grand children.
Mom seemed to be most comfortable with the simpler life and was selfless in putting family ahead of her immediate needs. Never idle (raising four boys demanded it), always on the move in the kitchen or outside in the huge garden or attending our roadside orchard stand. She loved talking on the phone to her close friends and hosting other neighborhood folk after daily baking sessions of bread, pies, and her famous cowboy cookies. Mom was active in the community helping with the polls at voting time (got to see all Marlborough’s old timers) and with St.
