Ira is survived by his wife Lorrie of 44 years, children David (Geni) Townsend and Anthony (Sara) Townsend, his sisters Becky (Gerald) Mercier, Jeanette (Lee) Sluder, and Regetta Reed; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lonnie-Lee Batchlor, grand-daughter Brittany Ann McMillan, brother Christian James Townsend, and brother Robert Wayne Townsend.
