Mrs. Ione Thomaston Pittman, age 98, of Loganville, Ga., formerly of Lanett, Al., passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, Ga.
Mrs. Pittman is survived by her daughter, Annie P Lewis; brother, Edward Alexander Thomaston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Wayne Pittman; four sisters; and two brothers.
Mrs. Pittman was born on February 27, 1916 in Clay County, Alabama. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Lanett and was employed at Kessler’s for 17 years and at West Point Pepperell for 9 years. Ione loved life, family, and friends. She also loved to gather and share stories.
