Inez Opal Putnam, 83, of Chapin, IL died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Barton W. Stone Home in Jacksonville, IL.
She was born January 12, 1928 in South Jacksonville, IL; the daughter of Raymond and Rachel Coffman Massey. She married Donald P. Putnam on June 28, 1946 in South Jacksonville and he survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Judy McKean (husband, John) of Jacksonville and Joyce Stock (special friend, Jack Cosner) of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Chad Stock (wife, Alison) of Downers Grove, Tara Cox of Sherman, Matthew Troy Stock (wife, Milisa) of Chapin, Monica Fullenkamp (husband, James) of Rantoul, and Jeremy Stock (wife, Gwen) of Arenzville; eight great grandchildren, Sabrina Fullenkamp, Chase Stock, Hayley Stock, Alex Cox, Delaney Fullenkamp, Kendra Stock, Olivia Stock, and Henry Stock; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ruth Decker and husband Russell, and Mardelle Rigor and husband Bub.
Mrs. Putnam was a member of Chapin Christian Church and the Sunbeams. She was also a member of the Jacksonville VFW Post #1379 Auxiliary, Chapin Historical Society, and Prairieland Heritage Museum Association. She loved her family, her church, and collecting antiques.
