Ina Mae Krahn
Ina Krahn went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to stand in the presence of God on February 28, 2011 at the age of 99&11/12ths years. She is also reunited with her husband, Eddie; daughters, Darla and Diana; parents, Ida and Dallas Baldwin; brother, Lon Baldwin; sister, Cletis Etter; grand-daughter, Gabriella and many friends and loved ones.
She was married for 57 years and widowed for 23 years.
When Ina was 16 years old, she turned her life over to Christ and tried to be obedient and a witness to Him throughout her life.
She was always a great cook and as her children left home she started making wedding cakes which became more and more elaborate. Ina decorated over 90 cakes making the last one just a few years ago.
For the past 25 years she was known for the exquisitely decorated valentines that she made. She finished the last of 30 just before being admitted to the hospital.
During the final time in the hospital and hospice care at home, there were many opportunities to pray and share expressions of love and appreciation; tell jokes and stories and enjoy reminiscing with family and friends.
In the final moments Ina was listening to the “23rd Psalm”.
The family wishes to express appreciation to all who shared prayer, time and pictures with Ina in the hospital and at home.
