Geraldine (Gerry) Falen formerly of Sunny Slope died, Palm Sunday in a Nampa care facility.
Gerry was born on August 14, 1930, in Spearfish, South Dakota, the only child of Glenn and Ina (Wilson) Marshall and the only grandchild to Elmer and Sadie Wilson. In 1933 her family moved to Elba, New York and in 1938 they moved to Marsing, Idaho. She began her education at Sunny Slope School. In 1940 the family returned to New York.
In August of 1948 at a grange hall dance, Gerry met her future husband, LeRoy Falen. She graduated from Marsing High School in May of 1949, and on May 27th of that year, they began a 45 year marriage. They made their home on Sunny Slope on the family fruit ranch. Gerry gave birth to three sons (Gary, Larry, and Joe), then two daughters (Christine and Carol); she went on to enjoy 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Over the course of her life, Gerry was a loving wife and best friend to her husband, an involved parent, a business woman, an artist, a gardener, and loyal friend.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband LeRoy, son-in-law Frank Moore. She is survived by her children; Gary (Pam) of Caldwell, Larry (Jeannie) of Sedona, AZ, Joe of Mill City, OR, Christine (Neal Spencer) of Middleton, and Carol (Rod Christenson) of Spokane, WA.
