Merritt Island. FL- Imogene “Jeanne” Thompson, 85, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2020 with her family by her side. Jeanne was born on August 19, 1934 in Tifton, GA to Florine “Dolly” Youngblood and Walter Lloyd Youngblood. She was the youngest of 10 children. She met her husband of 56 years, Grey Thompson, in Cocoa Beach, FL in 1963. The two fell in love and were married soon after on August 10, 1963. They lived in many states such as Louisiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Montana, Missouri, California and Florida as Grey had a lifelong career with Boeing and often moved for different work assignments. Jeanne loved music, singing and dancing. She had an infinite and unconditional love for her family and especially for her grandchildren She was an avid reader and enjoyed mystery novels the most. Jeanne had a beautiful spirit and wonderful sense of humor. Her laugh in itself could put a smile on everyone around her. She loved to travel and explore new places, Jeanne was an immaculate decorator and always kept a beautiful home. She gave amazing advice and was always there to lend an ear to listen. She enjoyed shopping and trying new restaurants with her friends and family.
