Imogene Joyce Boothe of Chariton passed away on November 26, 2014 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, IA.
Imogene was born June 2, 1929 in Oskaloosa, IA to Fred and Rose (Walker) Swinscoe. She grew up in the Williamson and Chariton areas. She and husband, Dwaine Boothe together raised three children: Dennis Boothe, Carolin Cain, and Karen Murray. Several years they spent farming before moving the family to town.
Imogene had various jobs. She worked at the Ben Franklin dime store, a hardware store, and Regal Stamp. She also managed the Tommy Tucker Restaurant. She treasured her time spent with her three grandchildren: Dennis D. Boothe, Ty Murray, and Owen Murray.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rose Swinscoe; siblings, Audrey and Fred Riggle of Red Oak, IA, Margaret and Charles Riggle of Red Oak, IA, Emma and Orval Nusbaum of Chariton, IA; and infant great granddaughter, Cadence Paige of Winterset, IA.
Imogene is survived by her husband, Dwaine, and her children: Dennis (Cheryl) Boothe of Greeley, CO; Carolin Cain of Chariton, IA; Karen (Dan) Murray of West Point, IA. Imogene is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
