Ileen Castellari, age 89 of Centralia passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Centralia Manor. Ileen was born on July 11, 1926 in Wamac, the daughter of John C. & Martha (Brun) Vogt. She married Raymond Castellari on August 19, 1946 in Marion County and he survives her in Centralia.
In addition to her husband, Raymond, Ileen is survived by two daughters, Barbara Castellari of Tolono, IL and Janet Russell of Iuka, IL; one son-in-law Bill Orrill and wife Nancy of Godfrey, IL; one sister Gladys Atchison of Centralia; seven grandchildren, Lori Brown and husband Jim, Kerry Ney and husband Pete, Mike Russell and wife Stacey, Matthew Russell and wife Marianne, Christy Hunter and husband John, and Marla Ticknor and husband Rob; 11 great-grandchildren, Amanda Wallace, Leah Reed, Alex Ney, Hunter Russell, Parker Russell, Mya Russell, Reuben Hunter, Abby Hunter, Grace Ticknor, Olivia Ticknor and Vincent Ney; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and the extended Gherardini family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Orrill; two sisters, Martha Gherardini and Gertrude Simmons; and one brother, Raymond Vogt. Ileen was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ and a former member of the Marion County Home Extension. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, playing bocce ball, most of all she was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
