Ileen B. Bycroft, 80, of 1696 Monroe St., Galesburg, died at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Heartland Health Care. Ileen was born on February 21, 1928 in Alexis, the daughter of Elmer and Edith Glass McCoy. She married William Bycroft on June 7, 1947 at Coldbrook Christian Church Parsonage.
Surviving Ileen are her husband, Bill of Galesburg; 3 sons, Donald L. (Tanya) of Dubuque, IA, Rodger L. (Kathy) of Galesburg, and William E. “Ted” (Missy) of Bondurant, IA; one daughters, Martha J. (Terry) Hart of Liberty, MO; and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Lawrence McCoy of Monmouth and a sister, Imogene McGinnis of Peoria. Ileen attended Chatoonga grade school and graduated from Roseville High School. Ileen was a member of Roseville Christian Church.
She was a bookkeeper at Central Butane Gas Co. in Williamsfield for 8 years, last working there in 1986. She was also a homemaker.
