ILetha “Pig” Reed was born Sept. 30, 1941 to Oscar Reed and Lela Reed. She departed this life at Jackson Medical Center Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021.
Iletha loved cooking and having her family all come together. Her favorite TV shows were Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Dan Reed Jr.; sons, Michael Dewayne and Dan Reed III; and one great-grandson, Octavious Barnes.
Left to cherish her memories are four daughters, one devoted, Carrie (Eric) Jenkins, Lela Reed, Kenyetta Reed and Latonya Reed, all of McIntosh; three sons, Bobby (Lorene) Reed of Leroy, Dewayne (Tanja) Reed and Ronnie (Lori) Reed, both of McIntosh; stepson, Mervin (Lawana) Thomas of McIntosh; three brothers, Oscar (Dorothy) Reed and Aaron (Teresa) Reed, both of McIntosh, and John (Diane) Reed of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Inell Jones and Annie Ruth Williams, both of McIntosh; with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
