Ila M. McLain Ramsey-Buser, 85, Grabill, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne November 29, 2006 after a long illness.
Born in Fulton County, Ohio in 1921, the daughter of William & Lillie Derby McLain, she was married to Ernest C. Ramsey for 49 years, living her married life in Anderson. She moved to Grabill in 2000.
She was a former office nurse for Dr. Horace Jones MD. She was a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church, a former member of the Sweet Adelines Chorus and a member of the Anderson Chapter #154 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving is her only child, Karen Sue Ramsey Bookout & husband Hurley; grandsons, Ken Alan Thompson & wife Mindy of Granger, Keith William Hobbs of Huijbergen, Netherlands and Kyle P. Hobbs & wife Trisha of Elwood; four great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a sister, Carol Joy Bates of Spring Valley, California; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Ernest C. Ramsey; her last husband, Richard R. Buser; a grandson, Kevin R. Thompson; three sisters; and a brother.
