Ila Del Kresha, age 101, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away April 18, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.
Ila was born February 27, 1919 in Broken Bow, Nebraska, to Ferdinand Eli and Susan Mildred (Kirkpatrick) Ash. She attended elementary school in Custer County..
On September 21, 1936 she was united in marriage to Alfred Louis Lewandowski at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Broken Bow. To this union seven children were born. The couple started farming in the Broken Bow area. In late 1939 or spring of 1940 the family moved north of Mitchell, Nebraska in Sioux County later moving to Scotts Bluff County. Following the families move to Stegall, Nebraska, Alfred passed away December 10, 1969.
On August 18, 1972 she was united in marriage to Raymond Glenn Kresha at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Osceola. She joined Glenn on his farm in northern Polk County where they lived until retiring to Osceola in 1989. Together they raised six children, was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She and Glenn were married for 44 years. In January of 2017 they moved to the Osceola Good Samaritan Society
Survivors include her children: Alfred Lewandowski of Morrill, Deloreis (Conrad) Wilhelm of Osceola, Donna (Jerry) Hort of Lyman, and Kenneth Lewandowski of Bulverde, TX; six step-children: Raymond (Mary) Kresha of Canyon Lake, TX, Gregory (Denice) Kresha of Osceola, Andrew (Victoria) Kresha of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Anthony (Kathie) Kresha of Columbus, Michelle (Michael) Berlin of Omaha and Christine (Patrick) Gabel of Osceola; 25 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Alfred Lewandowski and Glenn Kresha, who passed away March 12, 2017; daughter Delila Lewandowski, daughter-in-law Dorothy Lewandowski, and great-granddaughter Ashton Lewandowski.
