Idamae “Tracey” Olmstead, 75, of Colorado Springs died on August 24, 2012 in her home of esophageal cancer. She was born on November 20, 1936 in White Salmon, WA to Clifton and Violet Hughes. Tracey married Robert “Bob” Olmstead on November 27, 1962 in Vancouver, WA after just one blind date and a year of long-distance romance while Bob was stationed in Anchorage, AK. Tracey was a dedicated Air Force Wife and proudly referred to herself as a “Domestic Goddess”. Tracey enjoyed gardening, reading, and walking her two beloved dogs, Sammy and Bailey. The family would like to extend a deep appreciation and gratitude to Odyssey Hospice. She is survived by daughter, Kelly (Todd) Albrecht; son David Bagdanov; grandchildren, Alex and Sadie Albrecht; very special friend, Travis Shelton of Fredericksburg, VA; and neighbors Joan and Hector Foutz. She is preceded in death by husband Bob Olmstead; brother, Jimmy Hughes; sister, Helen Kennedy; grandsons, Andrew Albrecht and Daniel Bagdanov.
