Ida Mae Lane, 77, passed away on August 5, 2016, surrounded by family at her home in Moberly, Missouri. Mrs. Lane was born Ida Turner on December 3, 1938, in Higbee, the daughter of Herman and Lucinda (Oliver) Turner, who preceded her in death.
Ida was a faithful and lifelong member of Second Missionary Baptist Church in Moberly where she spent many years teaching Sunday school and she often served as a guest speaker and presenter at programs and ceremonies held at the church. Ida enjoyed reading her Bible, spending countless hours with her grandchildren, studying history, real estate, and catching up with friends and family. She was an inspiration to all.
She spent her career as a sterile supply processing technician at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics and later at Moberly Regional Medical Center until her retirement.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Scott Rice and Thelma Enyard and husband Dean; sister, Aileen Turner; step-children, Rev. Charles East and wife Corbetta and Jefferson McKinney and wife Gwyndolyn; grandchildren, Kendall, Terrill, Tiffany, Me’Lisa, Salyn, and Tohran; greatgrandchildren; and nieces, Joyce and Hycine Robinson, and Lucinda Cropp, cousins; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was married to Robert Lane, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice Reynolds, Alverta Williams, and Mary Lee Turner; and her brothers Herman, Wilbert, and Thomas Turner; and her nephew, Gary (Turner) Cropp.
