Mrs. Ida Wermann Dutko, age 94, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Peter J. Dutko Sr., passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009, surrounded by her loving family in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was born on March 18, 1915, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Harmon and Ida Russell Wermann. Ida attended Springfield College and received her degree from the New York School of Photography. She was a professional photographer in the late 1930s and 1940s. Ida loved to travel and was an avid gardener.
Survivors include her devoted children, Donna L. Dutko of Milford and Peter J. Dutko, Jr. of Jewett City, and her two cherished grandchildren, Eric Dutko of Nyack, NY and Paula Dutko of Washington, DC. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Wayne K. Dutko and four brothers, Russell, Harmon, Francis, and William Wermann.
