Ms. Ida Mae Baldwin, of Tampa, Florida, received her heavenly wings on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Ms. Ida Mae Damen-Baldwin was born on August 1,1938 to Arthur Damen and Florida Nathan in Tampa, Florida. She was the youngest of six siblings. Ida grew up in the Tampa Bay area attending local schools in Hillsborough County.

Ida was employed with St. Joseph’s Hospital for 25 years until she retired. After retirement, she then worked another ten years with the Hillsborough County School District as a School Crossing Guard. Later, she permanently retired and began to really enjoy life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Damen and Florida Nathan; husband, Donald Lee Baldwin; daughter, Florida Bigham-Evans; three sisters Vandeline Smith, Florine Darby, and Dorothy Roberts; two brothers, Bernard Russell, and Douglas Williams; three brothers-in-law, Leroy Smith, Charlie Darby Sr., and Richard Roberts; two nephews, Charlie Darby Jr., and Jerome Darby.

She leaves to cherish her love, legacy, and memories, six children including three sons, Robert L. Cook, Ishmael E. Jackson, and Arthur R. Killins (Sandra), three daughters, Rev. Jacqueline M. Berrien (Artis), Vandeline Y. Killins, and Florine D. Morris; and, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. A very special thank you to Annette McNamee and Maria (Gussie) Grady who constantly showered her with love and care.
