Ian Alexander Riley, 11, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
Ian was born on December 28, 2010, to Christopher Riley and Sara (Kemble) Ramey. Ian was a fifth grader at Eastbrook South Elementary School. He enjoyed playing baseball and football, riding four-wheelers and scooters, running around Matthews, riding bikes, playing capture the flag and flag football, and watching horror movies with his cousins. He loved his dogs, Sage, Abby, Lulu, Mandy, and Sissy. Ian will be lovingly remembered as a happy, funny, and caring boy. He was a protector and best friend to his cousins. When Ian entered a room, you knew it. He brought a contagious energy that you couldn’t deny.
Ian is survived by his parents, Christopher (Darlene) Riley and Sara (Jeremiah) Ramey; brother, Breylon Riley, Swayzee; sisters, Nevaeh and Kamara Detherage, Swayzee; grandparents, Kenneth and Deana Kemble, Matthews; great grandmas, Linda Barth, Wheeling, and Toni Franklin, Friendswood, TX; special nana, Jody Lawvere; aunts and uncles, Tia Cannon, David (Ginger) Kemble, Laura (Arthur) Kemble, Kendra (Glenn) Bradley, Danielle Bartrum, James Bartrum, Tyler (Whitney) Rice, Lisa Carmichael, Jacklyn (Payton) Johnson, Joe (Shelby) Lawvere, Kyle Lawvere, and many more from Kentucky; cousins, Emily, Sierra, Bobby, Luke, Sophia, Cash, Ashlie, Jesse, Aubree, Elias, Jace, Madden, and Sophie; as well as an abundance of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandma, Teresa Riley; uncles, Jordan Kemble and Robert Cannon; and great-grandpas, Dempsey Franklin and Larry Barth.
