Hyman Schwartz, 87, of Middletown, husband of the late Phyllis (Scofield) Schwartz for forty five years, passed away on Tuesday, April 8th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Norwalk, he was the son of Harry and Shirley (Gableman) Schwartz. Hyman was a member of Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue where he sang in the choir. He served in the US Army during WWII, worked at Stuarts Shoe Store in Norwalk and was a member of American Legion Post 12 in Norwalk since 1955. Hyman loved singing and was a member of Coastal Chordsmen and the Middletuners. He is survived by two sons, David A. Schwartz and Aaron S. Schwartz and his wife, Michelle of Portland; his brother, Leonard Schwartz and his wife, Liz and their sons, Harry and Todd of Queens, NY and two grandchildren, Brie and Alexa Schwartz.
