Hugh L. Lagedrost, age 85, a resident of Boerne for 36 years, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 8, 2009. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on June 9, 1923, he was the son of Frederick Lagedrost and Kathryn Gearin Lagedrost. A WWII Veteran of the Army Air Force, he proudly served his country in the 95th Heavy Bomber Group. Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Lagedrost is survived by the love of his life, Mary Herbert; Children, T. Reed Lagedrost, Susan Lagedrost Powell and her husband, Gentry, Scott Lagedrost, Todd Simmons (Ann), Jill Lemper and her husband, Kenneth, Kelly Lagedrost, and his wife, Jessica, Holly Lagedrost, and her husband, Chuck, Eric Lagedrost, and Hugh L. Lagedrost II; 12 Grandchildren; Sister, Janet Bretland; Niece, Joann Chambers and Nephew Gary Bretland and their families. Hugh was a man who demonstrated outstanding achievements throughout his accomplished professional career: PhD Degree in Architecture, Professional Real Estate Inspector, Master Real Estate Appraiser, Environmental Inspector CEI, CEM, Code Enforcement Officer TDH, Interior Designer, Lifetime Member of Chamber of Commerce. He loved life and had a passion for reading, drawing and spending time with his family and loved ones. He will be remembered most as a Beloved Dad and Grandpa! He will be deeply missed, but Never Forgotten.
