….. A native of Bogalusa, LA, he was a Beverage Distributor and a member of Byrd’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Honorable Degree Mason in the Slidell, LA Lodge. Odey enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an artist who was able to create beauty from everyday objects.. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin F. Fortenberry Sr.,and Alma H. Fortenberry, son, Hugh A. Fortenberry, daughter, Tina M.. Fortenberry Jr., sisters, Polly Whitsett and Mae Berry. Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn G. Fortenberry, daughters, Gena L. Parry and Lori Ann Elllis, son, Phillip S. Fortenberry and wife Charlene, sister, Lucille Ohmert and husband Jess, Grandchildren, Mason Fortenberry, Adam Fortenberry, Harley McKenzie, April McKenzie, Scott Gregory, Amanda Gregory, Jeremy Ellis, Meagan Impastato, Scott Fortenberry, Pariche Fortenberry, Meghan McBride, and Gary McBride, Great-Grandchildren, Hunter Kenney, Isaac Ellis, Elijah Ellis, Kaleb McKenzie, Victoria McKenzie, Mason Fortenberry, Kylie Fortenberry, and Vanessa Fortenberry, and numerous nieces and nephews and very dear friends.
