He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Della Nelson; brothers, Leonard Nelson, Linville Nelson, Delbert Nelson; and a sister, Pauline Hoffstad. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Nelson of Dalton; sons and daughter in law, Jeff and Sonia Nelson of Dalton, Jerry Nelson of Dalton, Chad Nelson of Dalton; daughters and sons in law, Joann and Chad Cook of West Virginia, Michelle and John Fowler of Dalton; brother and sister in law, Delmas and Sylvia of West Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
