NORTH CANTON – Hubert “Teeny” Maynard Hudson Jr., 90, of 523 Cherry Brook Road, North Canton, CT, passed away peacefully Friday, September 29, 2017 in the comfort of his home in the loving care of his family and his beloved dog “Katie.” He was born in Fluteville, CT on May 16th, 1927; one of thirteen children born to the late Hubert and Hettie (Rood) Hudson. He was the loving husband of the late Gladys (Adams) Hudson for 69 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker for Collins Company and later at Ideal loved his family above all else and was always there for them. He was a member of: The North Canton United Methodist Church, The Cherry Brook Grange (Lifetime Member), American Folk Musicians Assoc, CB Radio Club, 4-H Club, The Rowe Historical Society, The Masons, and assisted at many Cross Country Motorcycle Enduro events. He spent many years at his second home in Rowe, MA with his family and friends. Hubert always showed his love and compassion to everyone he met, he was a special person and a true friend and will be missed by all. Survivors include his caregiver and daughter, Wendy and her husband Paul O’Doherty of Southington, their children, Jonathan and Megan, son, Gary Hudson and his wife Sharon of Rowe, MA, their children, April Hudson of North Syracuse, NY, Holly and her husband John Ledger of Chittenango, NY, and children Steven and Carolyn, son, Brian Hudson of Watertown, CT and his wife Laurie, and their daughter Alison. He was predeceased by brothers Larry Hudson, Thomas Hudson, Henry Hudson and Wesley Hudson and sisters, Hazel Dziedzic, Julia Roberts, Sophie Phillips, Gertrude Steeves, Beatrice Morse, Lillian Bodmor, Dorothy Stickney and Eunice Millholen.
