Hubert Dewey Vote, 76 of Bradgate died Monday February 24, 2020 at his home in Bradgate following a brief illness. Hubert Vote, the son of Daniel and Jean (Maupin) Vote was born April 16, 1943 in Iowa City, IA. He was raised and received his education in Bradgate. On March 12, 1962 he was united in marriage with Connie Larsen at the First Baptist Church in Gilmore City. The couple lived in Gilmore City the majority of their married lives where they raised their family, moving to Bradgate in 2003. Hubert, along with his family, owned and operated Vote House Moving for 60 years. Survivors include his wife Connie, Bradgate, IA, children: Dan (Cherene) Vote of Gilmore City, IA, Serena (Duane) Lathrop of Gilmore City, IA and Dave (Cindy) Vote of Gilmore City, IA, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brother Craig (Sandy) Vote of Livermore, IA and sister Becky (Larry) Junkman of Rockwell City, IA. Hubert was happiest when he was outside working, or hunting(in his younger years). He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching some of them compete in wrestling. Preceding him in death were his parents and his son Darrell.
