Hoyt Brant, age 104, of Crestview passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born in Walterboro, S.C. on March 28, 1911, to Henry and Evyann Brant. He served his country in the United States Army and retired after serving 20 plus years. Hoyt was part of the “Greatest Generation”; he served in World War II and the Korean War. After retiring from the Army he worked for Fisher Controls assembling valves for the Alaskan Pipeline. Hoyt moved to Crestview in 1987 from Iowa.
