Howell J. Harris, 90, formerly of 173 Alps Road, Branford, passed away July 16, 2009 in Menorah Hospital, Overland Park, KS. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Conte Harris. Mr. Harris was born in New Haven Aug. 8, 1918, son of the late Arthur and Rose Harris. He worked as a tool maker for the Lee Co. of Westbrook until his retirement. He is survived by two daughters, Mary (Walter) Rice, Ph. D. of Shrewsbury, MA. and Judith (Robert) Edsall of Kansas City, MO.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Harris Rice of Bloomfield, N.J. and Walter Paul Rice of Hadley, several nieces & nephews. He is also survived by several loving caregivers including Lillian Geraci, Mariana Barber and Ian Radford.
