Salem Howard Wesley Shriver, 73, of Salem, was called home to be reunited with our Lord and loved ones that have gone on before him. He was born on February 11, 1938, in Painters Fork (Margaret), a son of the late Orie Earl Shriver and Ada Beatty Shriver. On June 6, 1964, he was married to Glenna Dean Burnett Shriver who preceded him in death June 21, 2005. Howard is survived by two daughters, Beth Ann Hart (Pete) of Clarksburg and Beverly Jo Hinkle of Salem; 9 grandchildren Heather Little, Kayla Little, James Wesley (JW) Little, Breanna Hinkle, Tyler Hinkle, Peter Hart, Courtney Hart, Jordan Hart, Corey Hart, great-grandchild Colton Hart. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Ray “Jack” Shriver (Ruth), Robert “Bob” Shriver (Mary), Arlin Roscoe Shriver (Shirley); a sister, Claudine Shriver Laxton (Jim), sisters-in-law, Wanita Shriver and Lucille Shriver; several neices, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers. Gerald Zane Shriver, Duane “Juke” Shriver, Leon Shriver and Denzil Shriver; sister, Wilma Shriver; sisters-in-law, Kay Shriver and Rachel Shriver; son-in-law, Scott Hinkle and several neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
