Weaver, Howard Emerson (Buck) passed away on April 5, 2015 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born September 12, 1925 in Adario, Richland County, OH, to the late Kent and Mary Weaver, the third of five children. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Howard Weaver, and three brothers, William, Paul, and Karl.
Howard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maxine; daughter, Michele Heins; step-daughter, Cynthia Walls, of Gahanna, OH; three granddaughters: Lynn (John) Lowey, Lesley (Steve) Miller, Leigh (Todd) Salvo; one grandson, Michael J. P. Weaver; one great-grandson, Nathan Weaver, one brother, Robert (Sammee) Weaver, and many nieces and nephews.
He joined the Army in 1942 and retired in 1963 as a Major, having served more than 21 years, spanning both WWII and the Korean Wars. Howard was awarded many commendations during his military career, including the DSC, Italian Military Cross, 3 bronze stars, including one with valor, 3 purple hearts, two combat infantry badges, and a field commission.
