Howard W. Newman, 82, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Mooreland, IN, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2016. Howard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vera, his three children: son Bill (May) Newman of Tucson, daughter Brenda Luster of Des Moines, IA, and daughter Terri (John) Heitel of Phoenix, four grandsons Curtis, Steven, James and Christopher, and two granddaughters Hailey and Ashleigh. Howard served two years in the military at Fort Benning, Georgia. Following that, he was an educator and coach for 30 years in Henry County, Indiana, and the Phoenix area.
