Howard W. Beall, 100, of Freeport, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Care Center. Born April 17, 1911 in Apple River he was the son of John and Mabel (Richards) Beall. He Married Leone E. Wickler June 18, 1938 and she died December 30, 2000.He was a Warren area famer until 1965. He then worked for Newell Companies until his retirement in 1976.His memberships included United Presbyterian Church in Freeport, Charter member of Warren’s Lion Club, 50 year member of Plum River Masonic Lodge in Stockton, and Freeport Eagles Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards. Surviving are his sons, John (Loanne) Beall of Milton, Wisconsin and Mark Beall of Schererville, Indiana; two daughters, Marsha Rogers of Homer City, Pennsylvania and Janis (Tim) McCarty of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Gordon Beall of Sun City Center, Florida; and his special friend, Eunice Hildebrandt of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 1 sister.
