Howard R. Hummel, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Manor Care Health Care Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Marie (Smale) Hummel, the late Georgine (Dick) Little Hummel, and the late Evelyn (Adams) Gaugler Hummel.
Born in Bethlehem, Howard was the son of the late Howard S. and Eva (Becker) Hummel. He served his country in the US Army during WWII, and later worked for LANTA, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed ducks, going fishing, and the music of showtunes and Lawrence Welk. Howard was a member of Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem.
Survivors: daughters Donna Kemmerer of Coplay, Dawn Crolius of Bethlehem; son Dennis Hummel and his wife Linda of Bethlehem; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Howard was predeceased by his grandson Michael Kemmerer, brother William Hummel, and sister Evelyn DeWalt.
