He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard, Sr. and Fern (Bickford) Peters; brother, Francis Peters; and two sisters, Shirley Waddell and Mary Ferguson.
Howard served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II.
Howard was a graduate of Newton High School in 1939.
Howard was a retired farmer and had served on the Jasper County Board of Supervisors.
