Naugatuck – Mr. Howard Michael Ward, Sr., 67, of Naugatuck, died Saturday January 17, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Frances Ann (Samela) Ward.
Mr. Ward was born in Bridgeport on January 3, 1948 a son of Milton F. Ward of New Britain and the late Cora (Bussiere) Ward. He was retired from Pitney Bowes where he had worked in electronic printing. He enjoyed working with electricity and magnets, building, fixing things and working on cars. He was an extremely handy man. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and his special pet friend Suzie, their dog.
Mr. Ward proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Ward is survived a son: Howard Michael Ward, Jr. of Naugatuck, by two daughters: Celina Ward of New Britain and Colleen Ward-Henriques and her husband Humberto “Al” of Prospect, a sister: Sheila Ward and her husband John Labieniec of New Britain, two grandsons: Cristiano Henriques and Xavier Ward- Cardona, two granddaughters: Kathleen Henriques and Emma Henriques, two step children: Alan and Jodi, two special cousins: Roland and Terri Bussiere, nieces, nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife: Kathleen (Doughty)Ward and his mother: Cora (Bussiere) Ward.
