Howard “Joe” Poling, Sr., 47, of Walnut St., Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011. He was born in Clarksburg the son of the late Howard F. Poling and Mary F. Ayers Poling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Lee Bragg Poling on November 12, 2010. He is survived by one son; Howard “Joe” Poling, Jr. of Stonewood and one daughter; Kelly Lee Poling of Clarksburg; one grandson; Andrew Lee Poling of Clarksburg; one sister; Marianne Wolfe and husband Daniel of West Milford; one sister and brother-in-law; Elaine and James Huey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one nephew; Ray S. Phethel. He was employed as the head custodian at South Harrison High School. Joe’s hobbies included fishing, camping and woodworking. He enjoyed riding and loved his family and his cat dusty. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. At the family’s request Mr. Poling will be cremated.
