Howard George Rube Jr., 69, of Terre Haute passed away April 24, 2012 in Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Howard was born July 27, 1942, in Terre Haute, to Howard Rube Sr. and Pearl Walton Rube. Howard served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a general contractor all of his life. He was a working boss, often times putting in many late hours. He was an outdoors-man, enjoying deep sea fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and one sister Carol Hankinson. He is survived by two sons; Brett Rube and John Rube, one daughter; Lorraine Wallace, one brother; David Rube, and two sisters; Joan Markle and Mary Rube, as well as many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
