Howard Fritz Linderborn Jr. was born on January 4, 1931 to Howard Fritz Sr and Agnes Theresa (Glorius) Linderborn in Baltimore, Maryland.  Howard was the 7th of 9 children, he grew up primarily in Baltimore, but his family moved to Bradenton, Florida for a few years and then back to Baltimore.  Howard joined the Air Force January 10, 1948 at the age of 17.  He spent 20 years active duty and retired on June 1, 1968.  He held many posts during his tenure and retired at the rank of Staff Sargent.

While stationed in Boise he met Vernal (Vicki) Phillips and they were married on October 22, 1955.

In 1990 Howard met Carol Mueller and on February 9, 1991 they were married.  This union gained him a stepson Dave, and a stepdaughter Devin.

The military was a huge part of Howard’s life, he was stationed in New Hampshire, Idaho, Washington, Texas, Wisconsin, Michigan, and California.  He also spent time in Greenland, Korea during the Korean War, Turkey and Thailand during the Vietnam War.

After retiring from the Air Force he moved back to Boise, and settled here with Vicki, Laura & Jim.

Howard’s hobbies include carpentry; military history; movies (he must have had at least 400 of them); model airplanes; fishing; dancing; and Big Band music.  He met both of his wives while dancing.  He also loved entertaining kids and had costumes that included Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and a Leprechaun.  He would go to schools and other events to entertain the kids and pass out candy to them. 

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Herman, and John, his sisters Thelma, Mildred, Amanda, Virginia, and Agnes.

Howard is survived by his brother Philip Linderborn, his wife Carol Linderborn, his daughter Laura (Clint) Fisher, his son Jim Linderborn, stepson Dave (Robin) Kearns, and stepdaughter Devin (Zaki) Hamid, and his first wife Vicki Linderborn.  His grandchildren, Eric (Kristin) Fisher, Stephanie (Will) Holt, Luna Linderborn, Eli Kearns and Alia Hamid.  His great-grandchildren Maddox Holt, Isaac Fisher, Emerson Fisher, and Emmett Holt.  He is also survived by many extended family members.
