Obituary of Howard Franklin Crevia

CREVIA, JR., Howard Franklin of Saginaw Township, Michigan died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Covenant Heath Care, surrounded by family. He was 89 years old. Howard Crevia, Jr. was born on December 11, 1923 to the late Howard F. and Gladys (Erway) Crevia. He married Mary Ruth (Mooney) on April 10, 1948; she survives him. Howard graduated from Fairfield Community High School, Fairfield, IL. He then proudly served in the United States Army during World War II as Military Police in North Africa.

Howard attended Bay City Junior College, Spartan School of Aeronautics, and was a graduate of The Real Estate Alumni of the University of Michigan. He was a real estate broker, builder, and appraiser until his retirement. He served on the Board of Review in Saginaw Township for seven years and was the founder of St. Thomas Aquinas Athletic Association and was its first basketball coach.

In Howard’s spare time, he was a licensed pilot and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are wife of 65 years, Mary Ruth; son, Howard III and wife, Virginia Crevia; granddaughter, Michelle Marie and husband, Nick Hull; grandson, David Howard Crevia; sisters, Nancy Laski and Theresa Sue Crevia; and many nieces and nephews.

Howard was preceded in death by his brother, Edward and sisters, Maxine and Mary.
