     Mr. Howard D. Clem, Jr., age 60, of Huntersville, NC., formerly of Langdale, Al., passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in Cornelius, NC.

     Mr. Clem is survived by his son, Howard D. “Trey” Clem, III of Highpoint, NC.; his daughter, Michelle (Brian) Schrader of Monroe, NC.; his mother, Billie Jean Clem of Valley, Al.; his sister, Amiee Clem (Terry) Sanders of Bay Minette, Al.; two grandchildren, Julia Schrader and Emma Schrader, both of Monroe, NC.; his niece, Lauren Michelle Sanders, his nephew, Corporal Ryan D. Sanders, U.S.M.C.

     Mr. Clem was born on March 23, 1954 in Langdale, Al.  He graduated from Valley High School in 1972, Auburn University in 1976, and attained his Masters Degree from Troy State University.  He was an avid boatsman who loved the water.  He was known as the “Mayor of I Dock.”  He was a member of the Auburn Alumni Association, the National Rifle Association, and the UMAR Advocate Committee.
