Howard Childs Gordon, 92, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on June 8, 2021.
Howard, also affectionately called Snook, was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Ernest and Eva Phillips Gordon. At the age of 15, Howard’s family moved to Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where he remained until moving to Florida in 1989.
Howard joined the United States Air Force after graduating from High School. After his service, he became an insurance agent. In his spare time, Howard enjoyed playing golf and watching sports, especially hockey and baseball. He was a former member of the Cincinnati Reds Organization.
Howard was the devoted husband of Barbara Joan Gordon, to whom he was married for 72 years. He was the beloved father of Robert Gordon (Debbie) and the late Marcy Holder; loving grandfather of Amanda Gendreau, Nicholas Gordon, and Melanie Gordon; adored great grandfather of Noah and Josephine Gendreau; and dear brother of the late Robert, the late Leroy, and the late Arthur Gordon.
