Howard Carl “Hardy” Fairley, 78 of Fairmont and formerly of Grafton, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born October 4, 1939 in Washington, PA, son of the late James and Inez Fairley.
Hardy loved to play music, read, go camping, and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He retired as manager from the Grafton Manor.
He is survived by five children, Jim Fairley and companion Matraca Shirley, Connellsville, PA, Becky McElroy and husband Scott, Fairmont, Jeff Fairley and wife Eunju, Fairmont, Steve Fairley and wife Sarah, Fairmont, Chris Fairley and wife Kim, Bridgeport; eight grandchildren, Renee Eddy, Megan Powell, Jennifer Frederick, Nick Fairley, Ed Fairley, Ian Fairley, Isaiah Fairley, Micah Fairley; six great grandchildren, Austin, Isabella, Jacob, Caleb, Regan, Cohen; one sister, Betty McFarland, Grafton; brother-in-law, W.F. Boylen, Grafton.
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Clyde Fairley; four sisters, Pearl Williams, Inez Kester, Naomi Boylen, and Edna Fairley.
