Durham-Howard Cleveland Buchanan, 91, of Durham died on Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Lofton Buchanan and Bessie Hancock Buchanan. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. was a member of the Masonic Temple 352, Sudan Temple, Elks Club, Life Veteran of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion. He retired from American Tobacco Company as a mechanical supervisor. He is survived by his son, Barry Buchanan of Durham, two grandchildren, Mark Buchanan and Michelle Watkins, four great-grandchildren, Matthew Watkins, Mark Buchanan, Tyler Watkins and Aaron Buchanan, one great-great granddaughter., MacKenzie Buchanan.
