Howard Arnold McNeill, 88, of Nampa, died May 17, 2010 at a Nampa care center.

Howard was born Dec. 30, 1921 in Hammond, Indiana to Christine and William McNeill.  He grew up in Hammond and graduated from Hammond High School in 1940.  During WWII he made Second Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp as a Bombardier aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress named Maggie where he earned the Air Medal for Valor.  He flew multiple missions over occupied Europe while stationed in England.  After the war, he attended the University of Illinois for a couple of years until he decided to turn his love for photography into a full time career.
