Houston T. ”Troy” Franks Jr., 54, Chesterfield, died July 31, 2003 as a result of an auto accident. He was born December 17, 1948 in Wise, Virginia, and resided in Chesterfield, Indiana. He lived in this area most of his life. He retired April 1, 2003 from Guide Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War in the Americal Division. He was a member of the UAW Local #663 and National Rifle Association. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and making custom long bows. He is survived by his Two Children: Daniel Thomas Franks of Chesterfield. Amanda Danielle Franks of Chesterfield. Mother: Alene Smith Franks of Fortville. Former wife of 30 years: Roxanne Franks of Chesterfield. Sister: Latricia Carol & husband Michael Creek of Georgia. Special Grandson: Hunter Lee Franks of Chesterfield. Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father: Houston Troy Franks Sr. in September 2002. Mother-in-law: Mayc Dowell.
