Horst M. Loechel, age 71, of Belton went to his final resting place after a short illness on May 14 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 10, 1940 in Schwenden, Germany to Otto Paul and Helene (Rateijezack) Loechel. He moved to Belton in 1972 and was known for his Volkswagen expertise; he owned and operated Loechel’s Garage until his retirement due to illness. He married Lili Maldonado on March 19, 1983 in Belton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lili Loechel of Belton, sons, Horst M. Loechel Jr. of Temple, Mario Fuentes of Morgan’s Point Resort and Vernon Loechel of Waco, sister, Helen Lister of Belton, 3 grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
